"If ye love wealth greater than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest for freedom, go home and leave us in peace. We seek not your council nor your arms. Crouch down and lick the hand that feeds you, and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen." - Samuel Adams

I thought we were too busy plundering Iraq's oil.

U.S. forces in Iraq have seized 5,000-year-old artifacts from a suspected smuggler and recovered 12 pieces stolen from a Baghdad museum, the U.S. military said Thursday.
Two potential buyers were arrested following Monday's raid.

An Iraqi archaeologist dated the pre-Sumerian artifacts -- miniature statues, a skull and a clay bowl -- to between 3,200 and 3,000 B.C., the military said in a statement.

Soldiers found the pieces wrapped in towels in a rice bag and also seized automatic rifles, grenades, several thousand dollars worth of Iraqi currency and communications equipment.
