"If ye love wealth greater than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest for freedom, go home and leave us in peace. We seek not your council nor your arms. Crouch down and lick the hand that feeds you, and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen." - Samuel Adams

Ariel Sharon went the the Temple mount so we decided we were going to murder Jews in Germany.

Suspected Jordanian terrorist Shadi Mohammad Mustafa Abdullah told the Duesseldorf court that Al Tawhid was hoping the attacks would make the group as notorious as Osama Ben Laden's Al Qaeda network.

“Sharon's visit to Al Aqsa Mosque provoked all Muslims,” Abdullah said, referring to the September 2000 incident in Jerusalem that helped set off the Intifada, or Palestinian uprising.

The 26-year-old Jordanian of Palestinian origin went on trial on June 24 accused of plotting attacks against Jewish and Israeli targets.

He faces up to 10 years in prison if convicted of membership of a terrorist group and passport forgery.

Abdullah told the court how he visited a Duesseldorf nighclub run by Jews on several occasions to collect information about the establishment and its owners and had done so up until he was arrested.

He had previously confessed to collecting weapons and equipment for a four-member Al Tawhid team which was planning an attack on the nightclub and the Jewish Museum in Berlin.

He said the targets had been chosen by Al Tawhid leaders in Afghanistan.

At his first hearing, Abdullah promised to reveal more about his ties to Al Qaeda, the network blamed for the Sept. 11, 2001 attacks, and has been placed in a witness protection programme for his safety.

The thing is, there are plenty of pro-Islamist fellow travellers who think that is a perfectly rational explanation for murdering Jews wherever you may find them.
