"If ye love wealth greater than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest for freedom, go home and leave us in peace. We seek not your council nor your arms. Crouch down and lick the hand that feeds you, and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen." - Samuel Adams

South Korea will be sending non-combat support troops to Iraq.

Noncombat South Korean troops will be sent, as early as next month, to assist the United States and Britain in the war against Iraq. The National Assembly approved the presidential motion yesterday.
An afternoon vote following President Roh Moo-hyun¡¯s appeal to the legislature for unity approved the measure by 179 to 68, with 9 abstentions.

"As president, I have a responsibility to uphold the security of the Korean people, and prevent war¡± on the Korean Peninsula, Mr. Roh explained in his address. I have come to the conclusion that helping the United States, a long-time friend and ally in time of difficulty, and strengthening our bilateral relations, would be far more helpful to a peaceful solution of the North Korean nuclear issue than setting ourselves against the United States in search of justification [for the war" he said.
