"If ye love wealth greater than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest for freedom, go home and leave us in peace. We seek not your council nor your arms. Crouch down and lick the hand that feeds you, and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen." - Samuel Adams

Or else...what?

Iraqi President Saddam Hussein on Wednesday urged a Kurdish faction controlling part of northern Iraq to side with him against a U.S.-led assault, warning it not to help the United States open a new war front against Iraq.
The warning, read by Information Minister Mohammad Saeed al- Sahaf on behalf of Saddam, was addressed to Jalal Talabani, the leader of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK).

"I advise you not to rush into what you will regret as long as you are sure that this leadership and the state that lead the confrontation against the aggression are staying. You and your forces allied with the foreigner could avoid clashing with the people and the army," the message said.

What is the implied threat? He may bomb , gas and wipe out their villages? Oh right, he's already done that. If the Ministry of (dis)Information is reduced to callin on the Kurds to join them, they are truly desperate.
