Slowly but surely public opinion in Australia is coming on board. I think as more celebrations and the atrocities under Saddam become revealed these numbers will swing more dramatically.

Newspoll found 47 per cent of respondents were against the military action and 45 per cent were in favour, while the remaining 8 per cent were uncommitted.

Only 36 per cent of people who said they were either opposed or uncommitted on the war supported Labor's policy of recalling Australian troops from the battlefield, Newspoll found.
