"If ye love wealth greater than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest for freedom, go home and leave us in peace. We seek not your council nor your arms. Crouch down and lick the hand that feeds you, and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen." - Samuel Adams

The Kurdish opposition groups are headed to Ankara for a meeting with Turkish and American representatives. That could be a good sign.

Patriotic Union for Kurdistan (PUK) leader Jalal Talabani, Iraqi Kurdistan Democrat Party (KDP) representative Necirvan Barzani, Iraqi Turkmen Front (ITC) leader Sanan Ahmet Aga, U.S. President Bush's adviser for Iraq Zalmay Khalilzad and Turkish officials will attend the meeting.

Diplomatic sources said that ''if this meeting is successful, another meeting in which Shii and Arab opposition groups in Iraq will participate can also be held.''
