"If ye love wealth greater than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest for freedom, go home and leave us in peace. We seek not your council nor your arms. Crouch down and lick the hand that feeds you, and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen." - Samuel Adams

Heh. I would love to know exactly what was said to Naji al Sabri when they introduced this little gem.

Arab foreign ministers debated a draft final communique on Monday that called for an immediate, unconditional end to the U.S.-led war against Iraq, but stopped short of forbidding member states to assist U.S. forces.

The proposed ministerial declaration, a copy of which was obtained by Reuters, condemned the U.S.-British attack as an act of aggression that violated international law and the U.N. charter. It affirmed Arab states' solidarity with Iraq and their support for Baghdad in facing the attack.

The draft declaration also called for an emergency U.N. Security Council meeting to call for an end to the war and to affirm respect for Iraq's leadership and political independence.

But a call on states to refuse help to U.S. or British forces -- which had appeared in an earlier draft communique and would be popular among ordinary Arabs -- had been dropped. Analysts said such a resolution was unacceptable to several Arab states which currently host U.S. forces.
