"If ye love wealth greater than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest for freedom, go home and leave us in peace. We seek not your council nor your arms. Crouch down and lick the hand that feeds you, and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen." - Samuel Adams

People say we have forgotten bin Laden and al-Qaeda that Bush never mentions bin Laden anymore. Well for one, what is there to mention about bin Laden? The most he (or people in possession of the hundreds of hours of his tapes) has been able to do is put out a handful of audio tapes, a couple of faxes and some emails in the past year plus. The is no evidence that he is doing anything but running and hiding. Meanwhile it seems that it is not the Administration that has forgotten the hunt it is the media who never mentions that 8,000 US troops remain on the hunt in Afghanistan.

The U.S. military said on Friday it had expanded operations in southern Afghanistan in the past week in an area where fugitive leaders of the ousted Taliban regime could be hiding.

U.S. military spokesman Colonel Roger King said troops primarily from the U.S. 82nd Airborne division launched Operation Viper several days ago in Helmand province, a Taliban stronghold until the fundamentalist movement was thrown out of power by a U.S.-led coalition in late 2001.
