"If ye love wealth greater than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest for freedom, go home and leave us in peace. We seek not your council nor your arms. Crouch down and lick the hand that feeds you, and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen." - Samuel Adams

Pakistan may back the US in a UNSC vote. That would be pretty important. We haven't come through in all our promises for support in Afghanistan and if Musharraf is willing ot still come out on our side on this vote it would be pretty nice.

Pakistan is leaning toward using its vote on the U.N. Security Council to support the United States on a resolution that could lead to war with Iraq, a senior government official said Friday.

"It seems we are considering a positive vote. It looks that way," the official told The Associated Press on condition of anonymity.

Voting against the United States is not an option, officials say, and an abstention could amount to the same thing as a vote against because without nine "yes" votes, the resolution will fail.

In recent weeks Musharraf and Prime Minister Zafarullah Khan Jamali have tried to blunt support for Iraq by reminding their countrymen that Baghdad has not been a traditional ally and has never come to Pakistan's aid.
