Lie of the Day?

Shortly after launching an anti-ship missile into the sea between the Korean Peninsula and Japan, North Korea on Monday insisted that its nuclear programme was for "peaceful purpose" and it had walked out of NPT due to "reckless" US policy to stifle it.

I guess the threats of turning South Korea into a 'sea of flame' and the launching of test missiles at Japan are just a friendly form of North Korean banter.
