This is the flashy kind of stuff that really makes archaeology cool. The other 99.99% of the time, that you are not lucky enough to be out doing fieldwork (where the nickname bestowed by anold professor was 'The Demon Digger"), is statistics archival writing sorting cleaning and so forth.
The 3,550-year-old ring of King Minos found its way back to the Iraklio Archaeological Museum in Crete on July 23, when Culture Minister Evangelos Venizelos presented it to the press.
