"If ye love wealth greater than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest for freedom, go home and leave us in peace. We seek not your council nor your arms. Crouch down and lick the hand that feeds you, and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen." - Samuel Adams

It doesn't sound like Blair is in too much trouble.

Tory leader Iain Duncan Smith's party will vote with the Government at the end of the House of Commons debate on the Iraq crisis.

Mr Duncan Smith told MPs that Saddam had "the means, mentality and motive" to threaten Britain's national security.

"Britain is as much a prime target as anybody else living today in this world," he said.

Liberal Democrat leader Charles Kennedy told MPs: "We do not believe that there is a case for war that has been established in the absence of a second resolution."

But he said that when an exchange of fire commenced, his party would give "full moral support to the British forces."
