In immediate response to President Bush's speech Turkish leaders have announced they will do all they can to allow US troops to use Turkish soil for any military action.

Turkey's top political and military leaders have just said they'll urgently take action toward allowing in U.S. troops; fact that a key U.S. ally is coming to aid of U.S. just before war starts, after earlier refusing to let U.S. troops in for attack on Iraq, likely to fuel optimism in markets that war will be short and successful for U.S.
